This movie was a great movie until I read the book. I read the book after I saw the movie and was extremely disappointed at what they chose to take out of the book. A lot of people are saying that the movie was your typical run of the mill fantasy adventure but I enjoyed it. Edward Speleers isn't the greatest actor though.
